Jamil Khan conducts mobile journalism workshop at NIMC

National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC) has hosted a session on mobile journalism led by renowned journalism educator Dr Abdul Kabil Khan, also known as Jamil Khan.

The day-long workshop, held on Sunday (15 October) was tailored for participants enrolled in the Broadcast Networking and New Media course, a four-week program catering to aspiring journalists from diverse regions of the country.

The workshop, conducted at the esteemed NIMC campus, focused on equipping participants with essential skills in mobile journalism, a field gaining prominence in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape. 

Attendees have been selected through a registration process, and represented various backgrounds and regions, reflecting the course’s inclusive approach to fostering talent nationwide.

The significance of mobile journalism in contemporary media was emphasised throughout the workshop. 

Participants were encouraged to harness the power of smartphones and digital applications to capture news swiftly and professionally. With the digital era shaping the way news is disseminated, mastering mobile journalism has become imperative for aspiring journalists to stay relevant and competitive in the industry.
