A workshop on Digital Storytelling was held on December 1, 2022, for civil service personnel who deals with Media. The workshop was organized by the Press Information Department (PID).

The session was conducted by Dr. Abdul Kabil Khan who is an Associate Professor at the Department of Journalism, Media and Communication (JMC) at the Daffodil International University (DIU).

Several Public Relations Officers from various Ministries of the Bangladesh Government under the BCS Information (General) Cadres and Photographers of the Directorate of Information participated in this three-hour-long digital storytelling workshop.

The resource person Dr. Khan who is famously known by the name Jamil Khan is an internationally recognized Digital Media trainer and is considered to be the pioneer of Mobile Journalism in Bangladesh.

The Press Information Department (PID) is an important department under the Ministry of Information of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. This organization works to develop and implement various laws, rules, and regulations related to information, including the development of the country’s information resources, preservation of information, safe circulation of information, preservation of information rights, and ensuring the free flow of information.
