On 25 February 2026, Dr. Md. Abdul Kabil Khan, Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) at Daffodil International University (DIU), conducted an engaging online session for the students of St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics, Russia.

The session, titled “Digitalization and Community Participation in Citizen Journalism in Bangladesh,” focused on the evolving landscape of digital media in Bangladesh and highlighted the growing role of community participation in citizen journalism.

During the session, Dr. Khan presented strong theoretical insights along with real-life cases and practical examples, helping students gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The students from the Russian university actively participated in the discussion and showed great enthusiasm and appreciation for the insightful presentation.
