
The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) organized a mobile journalism workshop on August 20, 2023. The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Jamil Khan, a renowned global mojo trainer.
Dr. Khan is an associate professor at the Department of Journalism Media and Communication at Daffodil International University (DIU) and the author of the first comprehensive book on mobile journalism in Bangladesh titled “Mobile Journalism: Journalism of Our Time”.

The primary objective of the workshop was to ignite participants’ interest in mobile journalism and encourage them to explore this field using the smartphones they have at their disposal.
The workshop spanned three hours and covered various fundamental aspects of mobile journalism, including mobile documentaries, mind mapping, video shooting, storyboarding, and editing techniques.
More than 40 students attended this immersive session to receive hands-on training as well as to learn how fast the media industry is expanding, from Dr Khan.

The initiative to organize this workshop was taken by Sanjoy Basak Partha, who is a lecturer at the JMC Department at Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP)
